VCTV is designed to give your community a fully functioning in-house TV station that operates on a designated channel throughout your community. How it works.

Our Private Channel Connect solution offers:

  • On-Site Systems including VCTV 2000/21 DeskTop and VCTV 2100 MWS Pro that work within your current cable or satellite spectrum and allows you to communicate a full range of audio and video applications to residents
  • Internet-based services, including Web Edting and a Web Page Portal that enable residents to view the community's TV channel and other helpful links on their computer
  • Audio/video accessories to customize your On-Site System to meet your community's specific needs
  • VCTV Online Community Service partners with Gynn Devins Link Software to provide a web based social networking tool designed specifically for seniors and retirement communities.
  • Digital Display Service

How VCTV Works

Using VCTV couldn't be easier. It doesn't take any special skills or training to operate, and updates typically take less than an hour a week to complete.

VCTV's easy-to-use media workstations include:

  • A computer text "bulletin board" with a wide selection of backgrounds, pictures, graphics, clip art, font sizes, styles and colors. Images can be accompanied by a wide range of audio applications, including background music, radio station, C/D player, audio tape, live microphone and pre-recorded voice-over. These options allow you to create eye-catching displays that promote activities, menus, change notices, emergency messages, updates, policies and procedures.
  • Video at the touch of a button, including footage from DVDs, video tapes and camcorders. You can use VCTV to show movies, educational videos or even live events, which can be recorded and played back later.
  • An Internet-friendly network that enables you to link to and update your Web site.

Online Community Service

VCTV's Online Link Software provides a single online location for all communication, collaboration, sharing and learning within a community. By connecting people and building communities, VCTV Online creates brand loyalty at every stage of development or occupancy.

Online Community Service

VCTV Online includes:

    • Customization: Your VCTV Online community is completely customizable. From look and feel, to the name and logo, to the types of pages that are developed, we work with you and your staff to develop a VCTV Online community that will best fit the needs of your community.
    • Training and Consulting: With online training for your staff, one-on-one personal training with your members, and personal customer service and counselling, we will work with you on an ongoing basis to help support your staff as they become familiar with the tool.
    • Email Tool: Create efficiencies by quickly and easily sending outbound communications, such as email or e-newsletters to a variety of audiences. Pull in content from your online community such as announcements, news or events and streamline your communication.
    • Social Networking: Strengthen affinity by allowing your members to build relationships with each other and the staff. Members can search for other members, exchange messages, make new friends, share personal information such as hobbies and interests, join a group, upload photos and more.
    • Unlimited Roles: By setting up different roles within your online community, you can segment page and content access. This allows you to distribute information to roles suc h as leads, depositors, residents, adult children, professional influencers and staff in one central location.
    • Message Boards: Allow residents to communicate with each other and the staff with simple, easy to use message board posts.
    • Maintenance and Upgrades: All new functionality and applications are added or installed to all LINK communities at no additional charge. All LINK communities receive scheduled maintenance and upgrades during non-peak after hours times.
    • Pull in RSS feeds: Pulling in unique content from other web sites, such as local newspapers, theatres and museums is a great way to add fresh content to your site with little effort.

     

Internet-based Services

  • World Wide Web Editing of the VCTV on-site system from anywhere in the world over the customer's network or over the web.
  • Web Page Portal to display the community information channel on the customers' web site, including additional senior-friendly helpful links to other senior services.
  • Corporate Network Editing provides corporate access over the corporate network to an unlimited number of communities; will provide input and viewing of any community channel over the corporate network.
